Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Manage chronic conditions related to family/internal medicine and address acute conditions as they arise.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems (Athena and Cerner) for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care services remotely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in the relevant state or region.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals or outpatient clinics is preferred. New graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient medical documentation is preferred.
- Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation is preferred.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication.
