Plumbing Estimator – Covarent Plumbing
Location: Richardson, TX (DFW area) | Type: Full-time | Pay: $40K-60K Commission (Based off project margin scale)
You’ll prepare preliminary budgets, conceptual estimates, and detailed estimates, for projects of all sizes, for both residential (single family/ multifamily and commercial). You’ll work closely with our pricing team and project managers to turn plan sets into competitive, accurate bids.
Position Details
Review RFPs, Basis of Design documents, and drawings to define scope and determine what each estimate needs to include
Analyze plans and use takeoff software to perform material takeoffs and apply unit cost pricing
Red-line documents as needed to flag scope gaps, conflicts, or clarifications
Compare bid package documents and project updates, track and adjust quantities, and resolve discrepancies between revisions
Request subcontractor bids and supplier quotes, and build working relationships with vendors and supply houses
Nice to Have
Commercial and multifamily estimating experience
Familiarity with local DFW codes and supply houses
Ability to build relationships with trusted suppliers
Texas plumbing license (helpful but not required)
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
