Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for helping maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and ensuring the hotel has a consistent supply of clean linens and towels.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of cleanliness in creating a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and replace linens and towels.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, guest room surfaces, and high-touch areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust as needed.
- Restock guest room amenities and supplies.
- Remove trash and used linens from guest rooms.
- Report maintenance concerns, damages, and lost-and-found items to management.
- Maintain housekeeping carts and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
- Assist with cleaning public areas when needed.
Laundry
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels.
- Sort linens according to type and proper washing procedures.
- Operate commercial washers and dryers safely.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear.
- Maintain an organized and clean laundry area.
- Restock clean linen for the housekeeping team.
- Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping or laundry experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift approximately 25–50 pounds as needed.
