Front Desk Agent – Courtyard Huntsville University Drive

Job Overview
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring 100% guest satisfaction from check-in to check-out. This role requires a customer service-oriented individual who can assist guests professionally and efficiently, handle reservations, process payments, and maintain a welcoming and organized front desk environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently and courteously.
- Provide information about hotel facilities and services, and assist guests with special requests.
- Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and make reservations as needed.
- Process guest payments including credit card transactions and cash handling.
- Balance the cash bank and complete shift-end reports.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues professionally and courteously.
- Maintain guest accounts, including gift certificates, master accounts, and vouchers.
- Keep the front desk, back office, lobby, and other common areas clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff and management.
- Complete shift checklists to ensure all front desk tasks are completed.
- Coordinate guest relocations when necessary.
- Drive the hotel shuttle van as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Job Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Valid driver’s license (required) for operating the hotel shuttle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to resolve guest issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Starts at $16 per hour, based on experience

Work Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shifts (7 AM - 3 PM) & Evening shifts (3 PM - 11 PM)
- Weekend and holiday availability required
