Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Technician / General Cleaner to ensure the smooth operation and cleanliness of our facilities. This role combines hands-on maintenance duties with general cleaning responsibilities, supporting a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical repairs, welding, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting using schematics and technical diagrams.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities using tools such as ohmmeters and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Assist with installation, repair, and replacement of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in facility automation systems.
- Carry out residential painting projects as needed to maintain the appearance of the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness across all areas by performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and assisting with setup or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Supervise or lead small teams during specific projects or tasks to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately, applying welding or electrical skills where required for repairs.
- Contribute to facilities maintenance planning by identifying potential issues before they escalate and recommending improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems, welding, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred to coordinate team efforts effectively.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
