Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and structural components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace faulty components through welding, residential painting, or other appropriate techniques to restore functionality.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to execute precise repairs and modifications.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory of parts and tools required for maintenance tasks to ensure readiness at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
- Lead or support team members in maintenance activities while fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and effectively.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques for minor touch-ups or aesthetic improvements.
- Strong understanding of CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to support team coordination and training efforts.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues confidently using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to facilities maintenance including lockout/tagout procedures.
