Job Summary:
The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas. This role ensures that all rooms are prepared for arriving guests and that the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Make beds and change linens and towels.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust assigned areas.
- Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, towels, and coffee supplies.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor.
- Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Respond to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner.
- Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment.
- Ensure all assigned rooms are cleaned according to hotel standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is an advantage but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25–50 pounds.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.

Experience

- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and janitorial procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably during shifts.
