Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and support personnel, ensuring efficient shift management and team collaboration
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality standards
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of dishes in line with fine dining expectations
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization
- Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Oversee catering events, banquets, and large-scale food service operations, ensuring flawless execution from setup to service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment by enforcing strict sanitation protocols and safety standards
- Monitor food costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality or guest satisfaction
Skills
- Extensive experience in casual dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts
- Proven supervisory experience leading diverse kitchen teams with effective leadership skills
- Expertise in banquet service, catering, and large-scale event planning
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, food safety practices, and dietary requirements
- Exceptional menu planning abilities combined with creativity in developing appealing dishes
- Skilled in kitchen management including shift scheduling, inventory control, and resource allocation
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with staff and other departments within the hospitality setting
- Deep understanding of the food industry standards for quality assurance and customer service excellence
