Overview
This is a tipped position with exponential opportunity! We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at our Tides Pool Bar and Grill and our Bistro Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a memorable experience for all guests. Your knowledge of the food and beverage industry will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink options.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper handling of cash and credit card payments.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support banquet services or special events as required.
- Adhere to all food handling regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending or relevant roles within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage trends.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers in various settings, including fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Basic math skills for processing orders and managing tabs effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A valid food handling certification is a plus but not mandatory upon hiring; training will be provided.
