What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant/Housekeeping position at Courtyard by Marriott Santa Rosa?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain assigned rooms in accordance with hotel standards
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties as needed
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
Skills:
- Custodial skills: Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
- Hospitality skills: Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Housekeeping management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail: Ensure rooms are clean and well-maintained to meet hotel standards
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects as required
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with floor care procedures (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, waxing)
