Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process textiles efficiently and safely
- Handle laundry materials with proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push carts, to transport items throughout the facility
- Sort, inspect, and prepare textiles for washing or dry cleaning, ensuring proper care based on fabric type and garment instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all laundry areas, including equipment and work surfaces, following safety standards in production
- Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents correctly while adhering to safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents
- Monitor machine operation for optimal performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by accurately fulfilling laundry requests and ensuring timely delivery of cleaned textiles
Qualifications
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual handling of textiles and equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in production environments
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating loads
- Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers/dryers or dry cleaning units is a plus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure proper garment care and quality control
- Commitment to following safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
