We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team and ensure smooth overnight operations.
Position Overview
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the day’s financial transactions, preparing reports, and providing outstanding guest service during overnight hours. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting functions to maintain hotel accuracy and ensure guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit, balance, and verify all revenue postings and transactions for the day.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to hotel management.
- Complete system backups and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Provide excellent guest service, including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor hotel security during overnight hours, ensuring guest safety and property protection.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform additional front desk duties as assigned, including cash handling and posting charges.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred, Marriott experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems (FSPMS experience preferred).
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
