Primary Role
In this tole, you will oversee overnight operations, manage guest accounts, and provide exceptional guest services during the quiet night hours. Your proactive approach and hospitality expertise will help maintain the highest standards of service, safety, and efficiency for our hotel property. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the friendly face of our hotel during the night shift, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nightly audits of guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions and reports.
- Manage front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and handling guest inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Monitor and conduct patrols to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property during overnight hours.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing information as needed.
- Prepare detailed shift reports, incident logs, and reconcile daily financial transactions to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to reservations, billing, and guest relations to support overall hotel management operations.
- Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or General Manager
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations, preferably in a front desk or night audit role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel management systems and guest services procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette essential for effective communication.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly while maintaining a positive attitude during overnight shifts.
- Previous experience working in hotel environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling.
Job settings and Physical Demands
Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. The Night Auditor must be able to quickly maneuver to any location in the hotel. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
