PURPOSE:
Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. Provides valet parking services to safely and efficiently move guest automobiles to a designated parking location while following Company policies and procedures. This function may include assisting with loading and unloading parcels or luggage or providing information in regard to the client’s facilities and events, and directions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Valets are responsible for the parking and retrieval of guests’ vehicles in a courteous and professional manner
2. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
3. Document any existing vehicle damage.
4. Help guests with their belongings, when asked.
5. Safely park vehicles in the designated parking area
6. Manage the valet podium, by keep keys and claim tickets organized and matched.
7. Assisting passengers in and out of cars when needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collect tips.
2. Organize vehicles
3. Manage parking area (barricades, directing traffic, etc.)
4. Protect cars
5. Groom appropriately
6. Hand out Claim Tickets
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license.
3. Must a good driving record for 3 years.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have at least 3 year driving record.
ABILITIES:
1. Requires ability to take written and verbal directions in English and speak English clearly.
2. Do basic math without use of a calculator.
3. Ability to drive a stick shift vehicle preferred but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Must be able to jog or run when needed.
2. Must be able to drive a car.
3. Must be able to see.
4. Must be able to work in 100 and 40 degree Fahrenheit temperatures.
5. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
6. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, driving, walking, some jogging in temperatures between 40-100 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. There are times where the worker will have to work in the rain walking to and from the parked cars. The position also requires the worker to be friendly and accommodating to guests.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Required to wear a uniform.
2. Ability to work schedule that include overnights and weekends.
3. Ability to work well independently or on a team with minimal supervision
