What You'll Do
As a Body Technician, you'll repair collision-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll work on everything from minor cosmetic repairs to major structural damage using modern equipment and proven repair procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Blueprinting repairs and developing an accurate repair plan.
- Performing complete collision repairs from start to finish.
- Structural and frame repairs using computerized measuring systems and frame equipment.
- Metal repair, aluminum repair, panel replacement, welding, and body panel alignment.
- Determining repair versus replacement while balancing safety, quality, and cycle time.
- Disassembling and reassembling vehicles with factory-level fit and finish.
- Repairing dents, performing body filler work, grinding, sanding, and preparing vehicles for refinish.
- Working closely with estimators, painters, and production staff to keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Delivering repairs you can be proud of—and customers can trust.
What We're Looking For
- Previous collision repair/body technician experience
- Ability to perform structural repairs and operate frame equipment
- Strong knowledge of OEM repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Excellent measuring, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Team-first attitude with strong communication skills
- I-CAR certifications are preferred (including welding certification)
- ASE and OEM certifications are a plus
