What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Intern position at CourtCorrect?
About us
We're a London-based AI startup helping financial services firms transform how they handle customer complaints. We're growing fast, working with clients who are rethinking how complaints get resolved, and we're now taking our first steps into the US market.
Our culture is diverse, friendly, and built around two things: product innovation and client success. We're small enough that your work is visible and your ideas land — the kind of environment where you can leapfrog several years of a traditional career path.
The role
We're looking for a Business Development Intern based in Charlotte, NC to help us research, map, and launch our US business. This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity: you'll be one of the first people on the ground in the US, working directly with our founding team in London.
You'll be responsible for:
- Researching and mapping the US retail financial services landscape — key players, complaint handling practices, regulatory context, and where our product fits
- Identifying and building a target list of prospects across retail banking, lending, and insurance
- Reaching out to prospects to secure research interviews and pilot conversations
- Representing us in person at industry events and meetings across Charlotte's banking community
- Feeding market insight back to our product and commercial teams in London
What we're looking for
- A recent graduate, ideally with 1–2 years of experience in financial services — retail lending, insurance, or banking preferred
- Based in Charlotte, NC, and able to meet prospects and attend events in person
- Strong research skills and the confidence to reach out to senior people cold
- Clear written communication — you'll be writing outreach that represents us in a new market
- Genuine interest in AI and how it's reshaping financial services
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working independently across time zones
Administrative Details
- Remote role, based in Charlotte, NC
- Reporting into our London team, with the opportunity to travel to London to meet everyone in person
- The internship may transition into a full-time role for the right candidate
