Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and clinical assessments to diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and seniors. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake interviews to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including child & family counseling, PTSD care, autism spectrum disorder support, and working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in EMR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and facilitate case management activities.
- Participate in clinical research projects related to mental health treatment outcomes and behavioral health interventions.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with advances in mental health therapies, psychopharmacology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and other relevant areas.
- Assist in data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives and research studies.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, medication management when applicable, and community resources.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with children & families, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics including Alzheimer's care, or those with complex mental health needs such as PTSD or addiction.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10) and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and social work case management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in hospital or community settings.
