What We're Looking For

Countybank seeks a Universal Associate to deliver a wide range of banking services, from routine teller transactions to customer service at the account desk. This role exemplifies exceptional customer service and relationship-building. Universal Associates are equipped to handle most customer needs, including processing transactions, opening and closing accounts, managing deposit portfolios, and assisting with loan applications when necessary. They seamlessly transition between the teller line and the account desk, depending on teller coverage and the complexity of the customer's needs.

What You Can Expect

• Provide outstanding customer service and support daily operations within the financial center.
• Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash advances, and wires.
• Accurately balance a cash drawer and handle currency and coin transactions.
• Open and close deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes.
• Complete onboarding for new customers, following the 2x2x2 contact management protocol.
• Provide ongoing relationship servicing and assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate financial products and services.
• Support loan officers by handling small consumer loan requests as appropriate.
• Perform daily office functions including processing NSF items, past due reports, deposit and loan exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and policies.
• Participate in sales campaigns and promotional activities, scheduling follow-ups as needed.
• Confidently identify sales opportunities and contribute to personal and team performance goals.
• Assist with special projects that support financial center initiatives.

Customer Experience:

• Actively listen and engage with customers to identify their financial needs.
• Ask thoughtful questions and make observations to uncover opportunities for additional services.
• Recommend suitable products and explain their benefits clearly and concisely.
• When necessary, refer customers to specialists, introducing them personally when possible.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of teller experience.

• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and follow-through.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
