What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Trades Worker- Plumbing - Facility Management position at County of Volusia?
- Performs basic plumbing repairs, fixture replacement, renovations and new work.
- Must be able to work well with others as well as alone with little to no supervision.
- May be assigned to other county locations based upon operational needs.
- Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED or possession of GED and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience at the level of a plumbing journeyman.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire.
Must obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years journeyman level plumbing experience, preferably in service plumbing.

ADA REQUIREMENTS
Mental Demands: Proficient in understanding and applying work orders, safety instructions, maps, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and other technical documentation. Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands: Capable of performing medium to heavy work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity (color acuity and depth perception) is necessary to operate a motorized vehicle.
Environmental Demands: Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to inclement weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, and rain. Ability to work in hazardous conditions, including exposure to chemicals, dust, confined spaces, and areas with poor ventilation. Strong awareness of safety protocols and practices to minimize risks in challenging work environments.
