PENNSYLVANIA ACT 120 IS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PENNSYLVANIA ACT 2 (either through the 120 waiver course or the entire completion of Act 2 Deputy Sheriff training as set by the PCCD, which is provided)
· APPLICANT MUST BE 21 YEARS IF AGE OR OLDER
· HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY
· CURRENT VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
· CANDIDATE IS SUBJECT TO A BACKGROUND CHECK
After employment is obtained the following will be provided .
· YEARLY FIREARMS QUALIFICATIONS
· CPR & FIRST AID
· UPDATES AND CONTINUED EDUCATION
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· COURTHOUSE AND COUNTY PROPERTY SECURITY
· EXECUTION OF CIVIL PAPERS
· EXECUTION OF PROTECTION FROM ABUSE ORDERS
· EXECUTION OF ARREST WARRANTS
· LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES
· PRISONER TRANSPORTS
