Ensuring compliance requires creating, modifying, and implementing policies and procedures, implementation of staff training, management of confidential and public records, monitoring trends in legislation and current litigation, auditing work, and functioning as a liaison with County Counsel on legal issues involving the Sheriff’s Office. A comprehensive understanding, or proven ability to gain understanding, of legal standards, legislation, and litigation as it pertains to a Correctional environment is valuable. Strong reporting and analytical skills as they relate to process management are also valuable.

This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, limited term, and temporary positions, both full-time and part-time throughout the County.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
A: Possession of an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. In addition, one year of experience assisting in financial, budgetary, coordination, communication, service delivery, or program operations; or
B: One year of experience performing work equivalent to a Supervising Administrative Assistant; or
C: Three years of experience performing clerical work equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III.- Licenses and Certificates:
Certain positions within this classification may require driving. Positions that require driving as an essential job function will be communicated in the job posting. When driving is an essential function of the position, a valid California driver’s license will be required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
