Logistics and Warehouse Operations: Lead

The San Diego County Registrar of Voters is seeking Leads to fill temporary employment positions to assist with deliveries, collections, and coordination across multiple facilities for the upcoming June 2, 2026, election. The ideal candidate for this position follows directions and provides comprehensive support for election operations by managing logistics, coordinating with facilities, and delivering professional assistance to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft office technology.

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday.
• May include weekends and extended hours.

General Skills/ Abilities:

• Proficient in the use of a smartphone.
• May serve as lead to teams of election workers.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external facilities to ensure timely delivery and pickup of election materials.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and supply movement using basic office software and equipment.
• Provide professional, courteous support to diverse teams and stakeholders.

Task Specific Skill/ Abilities:

• Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using personal computers, printers, radios, phones, and other office equipment. Experience with inventory systems or databases is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Communication Excellence: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals and teams, both orally and in writing.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in matching numbers, sorting, packaging, and following instructions.
• Organizational Strength: Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing time, and adapting to changing conditions.

• Team-Oriented: Dependable, safety-conscious, and collaborative with a strong work ethic.
• Telephone skills/ phone operation – Able to handle high volume of incoming calls during elections.
• Work with minimal supervision.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements.

• Must wear employee badge and access card.

• Must follow all health and safety protocols.
• Must represent the Registrar of Voters in a professional/non-partisan manner.
• Valid California Driver’s License required for operating County vehicles.
