What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School for Kids Site Supervisor position at County of Roanoke Virginia?
Performs responsible skilled recreational and supervisory work in accordance with the program standards for children and/or youth at an assigned location Supervises Activity Leaders to include organizing, planning and participating in recreational activities with children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13). Maintains required records, collects fees and prepares deposits. Performs other duties as assigned.
*Shift Hours and/or Days worked: Monday-Friday, 1:45-6:00pm
*Hours Required for this position: 21.25

| Education | Required: High school education or equivalent supplemented with college level courses or training in a childcare related field |
| Experience | Required: Three (3) or more years of programmatic experience, in aregulated program with children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13), which has been obtained after the age of sixteen (16). Of the three years, one (1) year must be in a staff supervisory capacity Preferred: One (1) or more years appropriate experience in the group care of children ages five (5) through twelve (12) and/or youth ages eleven (11) through thirteen (13) |
| Certifications/ Licenses | Required: Must have and maintain Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificates or obtain same after employment. Valid Virginia driver’s license with good driving record |

| Additional Requirements | Must be age twenty-one (21) or older. Subject to a complete criminal history and Child Protective Services background search with acceptable results. Following a conditional offer of employment, must submit to a Tuberculosis test. Must also be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description. |
