This is a position where individuals, with general supervision, perform electrical and/or mechanical work on wastewater collection system and treatment facility equipment and systems. Nevada County is seeking a Wastewater Electrical/Mechanical Worker II. This is a position where individuals, with general supervision, perform electrical and/or mechanical work on wastewater collection system and treatment facility equipment and systems. - Install electrical circuits, relays, switching, piping, wiring, instrumentation, controls and pumps
- Troubleshoot, maintains, and repairs diesel, propane and gasoline engines; electrical motors, circuits, alarms, pumps, instrumentation, and controls
- Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Maintain records, manuals, and wiring diagrams of County sanitation district electronic and mechanical equipment

Equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by a formal apprenticeship or equivalent as an electrical/mechanical worker; and three years experience as a journey level electrical/mechanical worker in the maintenance and repair of generators, motors, pumps, controls, instrumentation, computerized control and general plant maintenance.
Possession of a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire. A valid Class C driver's license must be maintained throughout employment in this class to perform the essential functions of the position.
