Learn HERE. This recruitment is being conducted to fill up to three (3) limited term vacancies with an expiration date of June 30, 2028. The limited term vacancies may be filled at the Agricultural & Standard Service Worker I OR Agricultural & Standard Service Worker II level, depending on qualifications, in the Agricultural Commissioner's Office. The list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year.
Agricultural and Standards Service Worker I ($32.12/hour - $38.02/hour)
Experience: No related experience is required.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
License or Certificate* Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Agricultural and Standards Service Worker II ($34.62/hour - $41.02/hour)
Experience: No related experience is required.
Education: Equivalent to completion of two years of college with major coursework in agriculture or biological science, or related field. (Additional qualifying experience performing work in pest detection, pest management, pest control operations, or other agricultural related work can be substituted for the education on a year for year basis.)
License or Certificate* Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
*Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
Scheduled salary increases and Wintertime Off (WTO):- 3.5% COLA increase effective 7/01/26
- 32.0 hours of paid Wintertime Off (WTO)

Disaster Service Workers:
Napa County employees automatically become Disaster Service Workers.
