What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lieutenant (Corrections) position at County of Merrimack?
Lieutenants exercise significant discretion in providing day-to-day supervision and assistance to Sergeants, officers and correctional staff assigned to his/her command, conduct performance evaluations, take corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate and removing employees from the facility. Review and enforce discipline, orderly behavior and confinement of incarcerated inmates as well as to ensure security within the correctional facility.

EDUCATION: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of correctional experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge’s, skills and abilities.
Certified Correctional Officer by the New Hampshire Association of Counties. Must hold a valid New Hampshire driver’s license.
Salary : $33 - $47
