The Merrimack County Department of Corrections serves the community and its criminal justice system by providing security, supervision, and assistance to persons remanded to our custody. Our policy is to meet or exceed the standards set by the American Correctional Association, the National Commission of Correctional Healthcare, the New Hampshire Association of Counties, and the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners.
Our Environmental Services Aides maintain a clean and disinfected environment throughout the Corrections Department and provide laundry services to the inmate population of the facility.

High school diploma or equivalent or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
A drug screen & criminal background check will be required of all conditional hires.
