SUBSTANCE SCREENING TECHNICIAN-FEMALE-Irregular, Part time position
Pay Range: $15.00
Under supervision of the Community Corrections Manager or designee, provides urine collection services to court clients including those on probation, participating in a Specialty Court or assigned to Pretrial Services. This position will administer preliminary breathalyzer tests (PBT), salvia screens and urine tests to monitor abstinence from substance use. This position also routinely assists program staff with administrative tasks. Applicant must be female gender in order to collect urine from participants of the same gender.
1. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
2. Must be available to work early mornings, approximately 7 AM to 10 AM, including weekends and holidays.
3. Must have basic office equipment skills including use of fax machines, email and word processing.
4. Administer breathalyzer testing and observed urine collection testing according to the National Association of Drug Court Professional standards. This includes direct observation of the collection of urine samples from the participants of the same gender.
5. Follow laboratory standards for drug testing confirmations including adherence to the chain of custody policies.
6. Discuss testing outcomes with participants.
7. Maintain a variety of excel spreadsheets or other documents for program reference and data collection.
8. Perform administrative tasks as directed by program staff.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. College attendance in the field of social sciences is preferred, but not required.
Experience: Related experience in the field of social sciences is preferred, but not required.
Other Requirements:
· Ability to collect urine from participants of the same gender.
· Department of Human Services Central Registry Clearance.
· Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
