Salary: $65,430–$83,516 annually

The LA County Probation Department is seeking compassionate and motivated professionals committed to youth rehabilitation, public safety, and community transformation. As part of a Care First, Jails Last movement, you’ll play a key role in guiding youth toward healthier, safer futures.
What You’ll Do:
• Supervise and mentor youth in residential or detention environments
• Support rehabilitation through casework, behavioral coaching, and life‑skills development
• Maintain safety, structure, and consistency in daily programming
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Serve as a sworn Peace Officer under California Penal Code 830.5
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Age 21
• No felony convictions
• Valid CA driver license
• Ability to meet Peace Officer standards and pass a comprehensive background check
