MASTER LEVEL CLINICIAN

Intake Specialist - Master Level Clinician, Triage and Emergency Services Department 

This position provides clinical intake assessments, therapy, and case management services to people with mental health disabilities.

Essential Functions

• Provides clinical intake assessments.
• Schedule and conduct person centered planning activities.
• Develop individual plans of service, amending and updating as indicated.
• Provide clinical services, including individual, family, and group therapy.
• Provide ongoing case management services as required.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other community agencies.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner, consistent with agency, state, and federal requirements.

Other Functions

• Compiles and prepares reports as assigned.
• Participates in training and continuing education opportunities as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Mental Health Supervisor. This list may not be inclusive of the total scope of job functions to be performed. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or modified at any time.

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline from an accredited college or university. Full licensure from the State of Michigan preferred, but will consider experienced or highly motivated, self-starting individuals with limited license. Knowledge of local resources and a CAADC or development plan also preferred. Valid Michigan driver’s license required. Holds current professional license on LARA.

Wage:  Entry: $31.41 6 months: $33.77 1st Year: $36.13 2nd Year: $38.95 3rd Year: $41.79 4th Year: $44.80

• Full License: start at year 2.
• Full License with a specialization: start at year 3.
