Social Worker- Adult Licensing

Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for an Adult Licensing Social Worker.  Specific duties for this position may vary depending on the needs of the unit, so we are seeking candidates who are willing to be flexible and learn a variety of programs.   Additional duties within Home and Community Based Services and licensing may also be assigned as needed.  These positions may include some of the following duties:   

• Collects information to determine eligibility for services and/ or process applications for licensure.   
• Collaborates with community organizations as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure services to support families in the community and ensure safety.
• Provide orientation, support and oversight of licensed providers
• Submits recommendations to the state.
• Provide detailed assessments of homes to ensure safety and compliance.  Complete written reports for assessments.    
• Provides support for licensed providers.
• Completes thorough and timely documentation that meets state and agency standards and complies with all data practices requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related human services field and two (2) years of full-time work experience preferred as a Social Worker in a public human services agency and/or a private community services agency that contracts services with a public human services agency.      Or

A Master’s Degree in social work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience. 

A valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Required Social Work experience must have occurred after receipt of Bachelor's Degree.

Compensation and Benefits

County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering.  The Child Protection Social Worker is compensated at salary grade 112 (full range $71,718 -$111,196.80). Starting annual compensation is $71,718 annually.
