Seasonal Employment Opportunity – Boat and Water Division
Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for two seasonal employees to support the Boat and Water Division during the summer months.
In this role, individuals will assist with patrol operations, help with the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, and help ensure all Goodhue County assets stored at the Emergency Services Building remain in a state of operational readiness. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with community engagement events hosted by Goodhue County. A peace office license is not required for this position.
Hours and Compensation
The schedule will include a combination of weekdays and weekends, averaging approximately 35 hours per week throughout the summer. The starting compensation is $17.50 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and possess a valid driver’s license.

Pursuant to MN Statute, seasonal assignments are limited to 67 working days per calendar year or 100 working days per calendar year if the employees are under the age of 22, are full-time students enrolled in a nonprofit or public educational institution prior to being hired by the employer, and have indicated, either in an application for employment or by being enrolled at an educational institution for the next academic year or term, an intention to continue as students during or after their temporary employment.
Salary : $18
