What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Facilities Services Technician position at County of Goodhue?
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General maintenance of buildings including custodial work such as sanitizing, vacuuming and dusting
- Reviews building activities and arrange work plans (set up/arrange tables, chairs, equipment)
- Prepare supplies and/or work order requests
- Perform major or minor paint jobs as time allows
- Ensuring buildings are secure, security systems are operational, reporting warning signs or computer alarms, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Qualified applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver's license.
Two years of custodial and building maintenance experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, an impeccable work ethic and takes initiative to get jobs done. Facilities Services Technicians must be able to interact appropriately with staff and public while performing most job tasks independently. Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office applications such as Word is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
This position is compensated at grade 105 on the County pay scale with a full range of $24.44 to $37.88 per hour. Starting salary for this position is $24.44- $25.67 per hour depending on qualifications.
This position is eligible for Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time and will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
