Job Announcement:

Bridge Maintainer Trainee

Salary $49,826 (Grade 9, Step 1)

This is a one-year entry level traineeship in which

incumbents attend driving school and receive on-the-

job training in connection with the construction and

maintenance of bridges. Work is performed under the

general supervision of the Bridge Maintenance

Supervisor who checks jobs in process and on

completion. Upon successful completion of the

traineeship, the incumbent will advance to the full

performance title of Bridge Maintainer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Six (6) months of experience in construction which

included carpentry and/or masonry work.

Special Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a valid New York State

• A valid New York State Class B Commercial

6 months of appointment in order to maintain the

position.

NOTE:
A copy of current Driver’s License must be included with
application.

Bridge Maintainer
Salary $52,258 (Grade 10, Step 1)

This class performs varied duties in connection with the

construction and maintenance of bridges. Work is

performed under the general supervision of the Bridge

Maintenance Supervisor who checks jobs in process

and on completion.
