Responsibilities include:- Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
- Ensures the proper and efficient operation and maintenance of plants for which assigned
- Supervises the work of subordinate personnel engaged in plant operations and maintenance
- Operates, oils and adjusts machinery
- Trains personnel in the areas of laboratory analysis, operations and maintenance procedures
- Prepares all administrative reports and recordkeeping
- Follows directives given for emergency repair work
- Records tests on daily worksheets
- Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of buildings and equipment in accordance with environmental protection regulations
- Designs training programs for personnel
- Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma equivalent
- Four years experience in a water treatment plant, pumping station, or sewage treatment plant
- One year in a supervisory capacity
- Illinois Class I Wastewater Operators Certificate
- Valid Illinois driver's license.

Salary : $113,000 - $118,000
