What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Chemical Applicator position at COUNTY OF DUNN?
The Position: Seasonal Chemical Applicator Seasonal: May – October
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay: $22.00
Benefits: 10 hours Vacation/8 hours Sick per month
Requirements:
- Ability to mix and apply chemicals on noxious weeds throughout Dunn County roads.
- Ability to drive pick-up, ATV, & side-by-side vehicles along county roadways and uneven terrain while operating machinery such as sprayer agitators, pumps, and portable spray equipment.
- Ability to clean and maintain equipment.
- Ability to pull trailers with various vehicles.
- Ability to hike on non-roadways while operating spray equipment from portable backpack applicators.
- Ability to ability to communicate effectively, establish/maintain effective working relationships within the organization and the public.
- Must be 18-years of age.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
- Must successfully complete Commercial Chemical Applicator course to obtain certification.
