The Work Crew Supervisor plays a vital role in the Colusa County Probation Department by overseeing adult probationers participating in the court-ordered Adult Work Program. This position is responsible for transporting work crews to job sites, assigning tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and monitoring daily performance. The Work Crew Supervisor manages tools and equipment, provides guidance and instruction, and submits required reports. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who are organized, dependable, and capable of working effectively with justice-involved individuals in a structured community service setting.
The typical work schedule for this position is Wednesday through Sunday, with approximately 7.5 hours per day. Candidates should be available to work this consistent weekly schedule to meet program and operational needs.

Receives general supervision from the Chief Probation Officer.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Experience:
One year paid or unpaid work experience coordinating/overseeing the work of others or a project.
Training:High school diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Additional specialized training or coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related field is highly desirable.
License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
Salary : $35,916 - $58,956
