POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Part-Time Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. You will assist with various administrative tasks, support our staff, and help maintain a welcoming environment for our community members and volunteers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and training sessions.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Support the preparation and distribution of communication materials, such as newsletters and flyers.
- Help organize community events and outreach programs.
- Maintain accurate records and databases to ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to community service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, and sit for extended periods. Strength and agility to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as required. Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit.
This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling may be available, but some hours may be required during evenings or weekends for special events. Typical business hours are 830am – 500pm.
