- POSITION SUMMARY**:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Acquire varied experience with the operation of recreation facilities, including swimming pools, boat rentals, tennis centers, athletic fields, and dog park.
- Assist with the planning, creation, and implementation of recreation programs, events, and activities throughout the County's park system.
- Conduct program evaluations, participant feedback collection, and needs assessments to support the development of new offerings.
- Assist with the promotion and marketing of recreation programs through flyers, social media content, and community outreach.
- Prepare and verify recreation facility revenue reports.
- Manage and distribute program equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with community organizations regarding the special use of County parks for programs and events.
- Develop strong customer service and public interaction skills by engaging directly with visitors and program participants.
- Provide staffing support at seasonal recreation facilities throughout the summer as needed.
- Develop and complete a special project or initiative that contributes to the ongoing enhancement of department programs and services.
- Represent the department in a positive and professional manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Education/Experience
- Candidates who are working toward or have completed a college degree in Recreation Management, Sports and Recreation Management, or a related field are preferred, but a degree is not required. Relevant professional or volunteer experience is welcomed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently at times.
- Current FBI Fingerprint, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal Background Check clearances as required by law.
- Valid Driver's License.
- P*referred:* Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
