This is a full-time position (based on 37.5 hours/week) at $65,000.00 to $75,000.00/year (comensurate with experience).
The County of Armstrong, Kittanning, PA, is seeking candidates for a Chief Public Defender Position. Qualified candidates should have 2 - 5 years of working experience or training, or any acceptable combination of experience and training which provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities, along with the ability to oversee and administer the overall operations of the Public Defender’s Office, including management of staff, and to maintain a full caseload of clients to be successful in this position. Candidate must be a self-starter, organized, and have the ability to communicate effectively.
Must possess and maintain a valid PA driver’s license. Experience in criminal defense is preferred, but not required. General courtroom experience is a plus.
