Duties
- Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other equipment to access trees and vegetation at various heights
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal to ensure safety clearance around power lines and infrastructure
- Assist with rigging operations for the safe lowering of limbs or debris using ropes and pulleys
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general groundskeeping
- Support crew members with land clearing activities and maintain the cleanliness of work sites
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting work areas
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents during tree trimming and groundskeeping activities
Skills
- Growing experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture with a passion for outdoor work
- Knowledge of tree trimming techniques, land clearing methods, and general landscape maintenance
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other relevant equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting limbs or heavy debris using ropes or pulleys
- Basic understanding of GIS applications for mapping work zones and documenting completed tasks
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and work at heights regularly
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality workmanship
