- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and brake repairs.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, and other industrial equipment components.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair procedures.
- Assemble new equipment or parts following manufacturer specifications to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and future reference.
- Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy equipment service environment with a strong background in diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and metalworking for custom modifications or repairs.
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures for diesel engines and vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards including brake repair, transmission servicing, air brake systems, alignment procedures, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs or installations; physical stamina for demanding tasks is essential.
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
