What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entrepreneur and Culinary Science Center Director position at County College of Morris?
The Entrepreneur and Culinary Science Center Director will play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem by designing and delivering impactful programming in collaboration with community partners such as the Chamber of Commerce, other economic development groups, and educational institutions. This individual will support prospective and new small business owners through mentorship, resource navigation, and program facilitation. Additionally, the director will manage the usage of entrepreneurial facilities (e.g., co-working spaces, incubators, event venues) to generate revenue that sustains and grows the position. This position is responsible for the financial success of the Center.
The Entrepreneur and Culinary Science Center Director will work collaboratively with the college community, external college partners, employers, and other members of the community to successfully promote educational programs and services within the Center for Workforce Development and CCM at large. The development of internships for degree and certificate students will be an important part of the director’s work. The individual will use independent judgement while taking the initiative in the preparation and completion of assignments while staying ahead of future programming needs. A flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends may be required as well as local travel within the community.
Strong understanding of the small business lifecycle and the challenges faced by new entrepreneurs. Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. Experience with event planning, community engagement, and/or facility management is a plus. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for supporting others in their business journey. Experience working with diverse populations. Knowledge of resources available for students both on and off campus. Strong organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, economic development, or related field (Master’s preferred). Five years of experience in entrepreneurship, small business development, or program coordination needed.
Salary : $86,124 - $90,000
