County Center Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary hospital with two full-time veterinarians. We strive to provide top-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs, while also maintaining an excellent work-life balance for our team. We believe this is essential to doing our best work. That’s why we have no after-hours emergencies and no weekends, and you have a four-day workweek.
We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician with a passion for helping animals and a desire to expand their knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will be educated, hard-working, and meticulous, with a commitment to staying current on the latest veterinary techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicating with and educating pet owners about their pets’ healthcare needs, both in person and by phone
- Administering medications, anesthetic agents, and vaccinations
- Monitoring anesthetized and hospitalized patients
- Assisting with medical procedures and treatments
- Recognizing species-specific needs and providing appropriate care
- Working effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Safely lifting, restraining, and handling animals as needed
