Responsibilities
- Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior to ensure safety and comfort
- Support veterinary technicians and assistants with animal restraint during examinations or treatments
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals clean and healthy
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote hygiene and prevent illness
- Provide pet sitting services by caring for animals in the kennel environment, ensuring their needs are met
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies, bedding, or animals safely within the facility
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ care routines and special requirements
Experience
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Experience with dog training or veterinary assistance is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques or pet sitting experience is a plus
- Familiarity with animal handling, restraint techniques, and basic veterinary procedures is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and visitors
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
