- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
- Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs to keep facilities in optimal condition.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety inspections for accountability and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
- Skilled in the safe handling and application of chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation purposes.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, chemical handling safety procedures, and facilities maintenance.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods during shift hours.
- Familiarity with residential painting or general maintenance tasks is a plus but not required.
