Countryside Fence is growing and looking for an experienced Fence Crew Foreman to lead installation crews in the Wausau area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run jobs, lead a crew, and take ownership of production and quality in the field.
We’re not just looking for a good installer—we’re looking for a dependable leader who can keep jobs moving, hold a crew accountable, and get work done the right way.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for leading a crew on a mix of residential projects, with some commercial work as we continue to grow that side of the business.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of a job from start to finish—without needing constant direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead daily operations on fence installation projects
- Manage and motivate a 2–4 person crew
- Read layouts, plans, and understand job scope
- Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment on site
- Keep jobs on schedule while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Communicate progress, issues, and needs with operations
- Train and develop less experienced crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading a crew (fence or similar construction trade)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to keep jobs moving and crews productive
- Takes ownership—doesn’t wait to be told what to do
- Hands-on work ethic (you lead from the front, not the truck)
- Ability to problem solve and adjust in the field
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred (Not Required)
- Fence installation experience (chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental)
- CDL or willingness to obtain
- Experience running residential jobs and/or light commercial projects
- Experience operating equipment (skid steer, auger, etc.)

- Jobs are completed on time and meet quality expectations
- Crews stay productive and know what they should be doing
- Minimal rework, punch list items, or return trips
- Materials, tools, and equipment are accounted for
- Communication with operations is clear and consistent
- Less experienced crew members improve over time
