Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across various healthcare settings. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting medical teams in delivering high-quality care. Experience with EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or critical care are highly valued. The CNA will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support such as Hoyer lifts and transfer techniques
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using appropriate medical terminology and documentation procedures within EMR/EHR systems like PCC.
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s care, memory care, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
- Document patient information thoroughly while respecting HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams in settings such as hospitals, hospice, and within the assisted living facility.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate caregiving tailored to the needs of diverse patient populations including geriatrics or individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Experience working in assisted living or long term care is preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or PCC is highly desirable
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique
- Ability to work effectively with patients requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care or behavioral health support
- Experience with vital signs monitoring essential
- Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude towards residents and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and perform caregiving duties involving lifting or prolonged standing
Shift Availability
12 hour shifts
1st Shift 7:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m
Expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to shift for required shift report.
