We’re a one-doctor, fast-paced and fun animal clinic looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! Our practice treats both small animals and horses, so every day brings variety and hands-on experience.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and thrives in a busy environment. The right fit is just as important to us as experience—we value teamwork, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for animals.
We are searching for an experienced veterinary technician to join our team. In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications listed below, the right candidate will share our why and possess a hunger to leverage their skills, knowledge and expertise to the fullest in our small animal department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, including physical examinations, surgeries, dental procedures, and immunizations.
· Collect and record patient histories, vital signs, and weights.
· Perform laboratory tests such as blood draws, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
· Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
· Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures.
· Provide nursing care for injured or ill animals.
· Educate clients on proper at-home care, including diet and exercise recommendations.
Qualifications:
· Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle and restrain various animal species safely.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
· Ability to work well in high-pressure and emergency situations.
