Job Summary: Key holder store team members are multi-faceted. The key holders are able to operate and utilize Point of Sale terminals to assist and help customers, along with handling financial transactions. Key holders are able to also work in the warehouse, nursery and the pet department. Being able to adapt and assist in multiple departments is a huge requirement of this position. The other primary function of the key holder is to follow the set guidelines and protocol to open and close the store.

Position Outline: The key holder team member is a crucial role in the store operations. Along with the ability to help and work in multiple departments, the key holder is tasked with following the proper procedures to open and close the store. This includes reviewing and securing financial transactions and end of day totals.

· Provide top-notch CountryMax helpful service, including carrying out any and all products for customers and patrons

· Assist and work in multiple departments when needed

· Follow the proper procedure to secure financial transactions and totals when opening and closing the store

· Operate Point of Sale terminals and handle financial transactions

· As a team monitor and control inventory stock levels

· Create and generate special order requests for any products not currently on hand or sold in store

· Establish business relationships with the various patrons and customers that shop at CountryMax

· Work as a team in the overall store maintenance and merchandising to keep the store presentable and neat

Position Requirements:

The key holder will follow protocol to properly and promptingly open and close the store, along with working in multiple departments throughout the store

· Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required

· Previous key holder experience is a plus

· Proficient on a PC, including Microsoft Word and Excel

· Past experience operating a Point-of-Sale terminal and handling financial transactions is a plus

· Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours or during the store’s operating hours

· The key holder will need to open and close the store prominently, so punctuality is a must

· Helpful service and keen social skills are also a must

· Ability to work as a team in a retail atmosphere

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
